Records: 1882 Whittlebury Forest etc. (W. Hull & H. Tomalin) and 1961 SP78 recorder unknown (Biological Record Centre).  

Observations: The 1882 record is taken from a systematic classification of the lepidoptera which have occurred in the vicinity of Northampton. J. Northampt. nat. Hist. Soc. p.290 by Hull, W. & Tomalin, H. F., 1882-84. In view of its limited national distribution which certainly goes back to Victorian times and the absence of suitable habitat for this species in Northamptonshire there must be doubts as to the reliability of these records.
