Period: Single brooded in May and June.

Wood, Spanhoe Wood, Collyweston Great Wood and
Castor Hanglands.
Observations: The
species seems to be more plentiful in oak woodland where
it can sometimes be common as on 10 June 1995 under the
old oaks in Hazelborough Wood where some twenty examples
were attracted to m.v. light. The Fineshade Rothamsted
light trap running in mixed woodland shows an overall
catch of eleven moths in the eight years to 2000 with no
moths being recorded in the first four of these years. A
singleton was recorded in the Pitsford Water light traps
for the first time in 2009 after a decade and a half of
trapping on the site.
