Distribution
and Abundance: Rather local.
Primary Habitat: Woodland.
Flight Period: Single
brooded in May and June.
Localities: Hazelborough
Forest, Pitsford Water, Geddington Chase and Bedford
Purlieus.
Observations: Although
more usually associated with birch, the moth is common
amongst the alders at Barford Meadows and present on the
alders growing along the River Nene at Pilton. Fourteen
examples of the moth were recorded at Easton Hornstocks
on the Northamptonshire Moth Group trip of 22 May 2009.
