Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Flight period: Double brooded in May and June and again in August.

Observations: The Pitsford Water light trap records provide useful information on the main flight time and abundance in wetland for the past four seasons. These are as follows: -

L.O.N.: 1907. Several localities. Rather common. Most irregular in appearance when raised from larvae.
