Status:  Resident.

Distribution and Abundance:  Common.

Primary Habitat:  General occurrence.

Flight Period:  Single brooded from July to September.

Observations:  There are historical records of the moth occurring in late October, but these are in the early part of the last century and this late flight does not seem to have been observed in recent times. Although the male flies in the sunshine, on 11 August 1995 a singleton was attracted to my garden m.v. light trap in Kettering.

L.O.N.:  1907. Many localities. Common.
