Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in April and May.

Observations: Normally seen in small numbers in a variety of habitats. It was unusually plentiful on 21 May 1988 at Collyweston Quarry with some seventeen males attracted to m.v. light.

L.O.N.: 1905. Several localities. Irregular.
