Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Single brooded in August and September.

Observations: The species can be very common at m.v. light. Records from the two Pitsford Water static m.v. light traps for the year 2000 are as follows:- 
First record 28 July, last record 26 September.
Moths recorded, July - 5, August - 539 and September - 456. Total - 1,000.
Historical records show that moths were first seen around mid August, rather later in the year than currently.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.
