Hanglands.
Observations: The moth
can be common at sallow bloom as on
15 April 1986 when eleven examples were taken on a sheet
placed under tall sallows at Geddington Chase. The moths
were feeding high up and were secured by jarring the
bloom with long poles. In 1996 whilst trying to obtain a
female moth for egg laying, I took twenty-one males in
succession at light in various localities around the
county before taking a female moth on 20 April 1996 in
Salcey Forest.
