Status:  Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat:  Grassland.

Flight Period:  Single brooded in August and September.

Observations: The moth is most common on rough grassland and was particularly numerous at m.v. light on 28 August 1987 on the grassy area between Harringworth Wood and Harringworth Lake when twenty-five examples were seen. The Pitsford Water static light trap records show a variability in abundance in the decade to 2009 as follows: - 2000 - 21, 2001 - 12, 2002 - 6, 2003 - 13, 2004 - 1, 2005 - 1, 2006 - 1, 2007 - 4, 2008 - 0 and 2009 - 5.
