Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Observations: Several moths were observed after dark feeding at the flowers of common rush on 18 July 1987 at Harringworth Lake. The moth was particularly common at light in a Woodnewton garden in the three years to 2009 with an annual average of 103 moths being seen.
