Records: 18 July 1999 Daventry (K. Williams),
5 August 2003 Boughton Park (D. Howton)
5 September 2006 Old Sulehay Forest (R. Follows) and
21 October 2009 Woodnewton (N. Smith). 

Observations: This species has experienced and apparent range expansion since the first VC32 record in 1999. There were 17 records in 2018 from many locations. As the moth closely resembles its congener The Clay (M.  farrago) it can easily be passed over as this species.
