Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Double brooded from June to September with overlapping broods.

Observations: The species can be very common at light as shown on 23 August 2003 when five m.v. light traps left overnight at Boughton Park attracted 1297 moths primarily of the second brood; many others flew away and were not counted. The second brood was also very plentiful at Kelmarsh Lake in August and September 2000 with reddish ochreous forms predominating.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.
