Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in August and September.

Observations: Blackish suffused forms, approaching ab nigra, are fairly common at Geddington Chase; I have not noticed these anywhere else although they are probably not restricted to this locality.
