Status: Vagrant.
Distribution
and Abundance: Rare.
Records: 25
September 1994 Kettering (J. Ward) and 25 September 2008
Oundle (P. Horsnail).
Observations: The
records are of single moths taken in garden light traps
and are the only known occurrences of the species since
the Victoria County History. In discussing a number of
unusual species included in the Victoria County History,
Wallis commented in The Lepidoptera of
Northamptonshire, on the presence of this species
as follows: I think Polio Lichenea is the
most interesting as it is distinctly a western insect and
its appearance so far east is, I believe, unusual.
