Status: Vagrant.

Distribution and Abundance: Rare.

Records: 25 September 1994 Kettering (J. Ward) and 25 September 2008 Oundle (P. Horsnail).

Observations: The records are of single moths taken in garden light traps and are the only known occurrences of the species since the Victoria County History. In discussing a number of unusual species included in the Victoria County History, Wallis commented in “The Lepidoptera of Northamptonshire,” on the presence of this species as follows: “I think Polio Lichenea is the most interesting as it is distinctly a western insect and its appearance so far east is, I believe, unusual.”
