Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in September and October.

Observations: Moths were plentiful at ivy bloom around Blatherwycke Lake in October 1987 and caterpillars widespread in fallen poplar catkins during the 1980’s. The species was particularly common at m.v. light in a Woodnewton garden in 2008 when 130 were recorded in the year.

Confusion Species: Dusky-lemon Sallow
