Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: Useful data on flight period and abundance is provided by the Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the 1990’s. Viz:-
