Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: The moth was more common at sugared fence posts on 4 July 1987 at Collyweston Quarry than in m.v. light traps run nearby in the quarry. In an analysis of the catches at the Pitsford Water static light traps for the five years from 1999 to 2003 this species produced an annual average of thirty-one moths.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.
