Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: The moth was extremely plentiful at dusk on 11 July 1987 almost swarming over grasses in the open woodland at Castor Hanglands. Notwithstanding this, I have only seen the moth in small numbers at light. The Pitsford Water light traps show twenty-two moths recorded at light in the decade to 2009.
