Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: The moth can be very common at light as on 7 June 2003 at Boughton Park when one of the six m.v. light traps left overnight contained in excess of one hundred examples of the moth.

L.O.N.: 1905. Castle Ashby, Northampton, Kettering, Ashton Wold. Not common.

First Record: 1882, Hull & Tomalin.
