Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in May and June.

Observations: The species sometimes occurs very commonly on the limestone grassland of Collyweston Quarry. The moths in this locality show an above average range of colour variation.

L.O.N.: 1907. Everywhere. Very common.
