Record: 1976 Oundle (J. T. Niemeyer).

Observations: The record is taken from a Peterborough museum record card. Although the recorder was an Oundle school pupil there is no moth in the school collection to support the record. There is a further VC32 entry on the card for a moth taken before 1950 at Thorpe Road Peterborough. As this was where S. W. Pooles used to live and record I wrote to him in 1986 for confirmation of its correctness. His reply indicated that the record was spurious. The known distribution of this species does not include Northamptonshire and it is included here for completeness only.
