Period: Single brooded from August to October.
Observations: Returns
from the static Pitsford Water light traps for the decade
to 2009 show an annual average of twenty-nine moths
recorded with a high of fifty-six and a low of eight. The
pupae were numerous inside the stems of thistles in
August 1971 in a damp field near to Cransley Reservoir.
