Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Localities: Ditchfield Lakes, Thrapston, Harringworth Lake and Whitewater Reservoir.

Observations: An under-recorded species that occasionally wanders into garden light traps indicating the presence of unrecorded colonies. Generally the moth appears to be less common in the county than its congener the Twin-spotted Wainscot.
