Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Localities: Yardley Chase, Kingsthorpe, Ring Haw and Castor Hanglands.

Observations: The moth was very common flying at dusk along the edges of the ponds on 1 July 1989 at Castor Hanglands. The mapped SP76 record is of seven moths taken at m.v. light near to the river Nene at Kingsthorpe. This suggests that other colonies could be present along the river.
