Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Localities: Hazelborough Wood, Lings Wood, King’s Wood and Barnack Hills and Holes.

Observations: The moth was plentiful on 20 July 1990 under the old parkland oaks at Yardley Chase. Of the eleven moths that were seen, nine were seen at m.v. light and two at sugar.

L.O.N.: 1907. Salcey, Barnwell, Geddington Chase, Kettering. Not common.
