Distribution and Abundance: Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July.

Records: 30 June 1989 Weldon Park (D. Howton),
3 July 1987 Harringworth Lake (J. Ward) and
19 July 1994 Fineshade (Rothamsted Insect Survey).

Observations: Due to similarity in appearance to its congener the Gold Spot (P. festucae) and that the two species were not separated until comparatively recently, there are probably early records for this species included under Gold Spot.
