and Abundance: Common.
Primary Habitat: Woodland.
Flight Period: Single
brooded from June into August.
Observations: The species
is generally rather less common than its congener the Beautiful Golden
Y (A. pulchrina) in the county. Amongst old records there are
several instances of the moth being seen much later than its normal
flight period. The most extreme of these being 2 October 1937 and
4 October 1944.
