  Mother Shipton Euclidia mi

B&F: 2462

ABH: 72.084

Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in May and June.

Observations: Although not under recorded to the extent of the Burnet Companion (Euclidia glyphica), the species is still under mapped. It inhabits similar sites where clovers grow and the two moths are often seen on the wing together. In such places it is probably well distributed throughout the county. In the early season of 2011 moths were seen on the wing at Barford Meadows during the last week of April.

L.O.N.: Undated. Many localities. Rather common.

First Record: 1842, Clark.
