Status: Resident/Migrant.

Distribution and Abundance: Rare.

Primary Habitat: Predominantly mature woodland, but seen in garden moth traps

Flight Period: July - August.

Observations: The larvea feed on a variety of fungi and rotten wood. The first county record was of a single specimen taken at light in an Oundle garden. A further recording was made a few days later. It has since been recorded sporadically around the Vice-county. There are also irregular records in adjacent counties.
