Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Gardens.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June to August.

Observations: Although the moth is not strongly attracted to light, the Fineshade Rothamsted tungsten filament light trap provides useful data on the abundance and flight period of the species in the 1990’s. Viz:-
