Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: The species is not greatly attracted to light as is demonstrated by Fineshade Rothamsted light trap records for the years 1993 to 1999 with an average of two moths and a maximum of five moths recorded. Some early records are endorsed “by beating.”
